April 23rd will be 6 years since Kerri went to be with the Lord. I started my journey of remembering Kerri through her scholarship 5 years ago. My goal at first was to raise $10,000 but when we quickly surpassed that I decided to go for the full $25,000 and we are now only $1364.00 away from reaching our goal.
Let me tell you when I started this I had no idea about fundraising, didn't like talking in front of big groups, and really didn't think I could raise $25,000 but here we are almost there! I learned so much and conquered my fear of speaking in front of large groups. There have been 4 scholarship awarded in Kerri's name and that is so exciting knowing her caring legacy goes on, and will continue indefinitely once we reach $25,000.
Thank you to those have donated money, time, auction items, and prayers! And thank you to God who put me on this path. He is the one who made it possible!
If you would like to donate toward the last bit to reaching our goal we would greatly appreciate it!!
Please visit MHCC.edu, hit the menu button, scroll down and hit "give now", then find named scholarships and "Kerri Foland Scholarship", then follow directions.

Once again thank you! My hope to keep Kerri's legacy alive is coming true and I feel so blessed to have taken part in this journey!!
Kerri Foland Scholarship
Kerri Foland was a wonderful student, wife, mother, friend, and daughter. Kerri lost her life to cancer at the age of 40. This scholarship was created in her name to keep her caring legacy alive by helping physical therapist assistant students with college expenses. Lets reach for the stars and raise $25,000 to create an endowed scholarship so it can help students in-definately!

I hope everyone had a blessed Christmas and New Year!
One of my goals this new year is to organize another fundraiser. I am hoping to host another music performance and silent auction. I have already gotten a few items coming from a couple Christian music groups. If you have ideas or would like to donate an auction basket let me know! We are only about $8,000 away from reaching our goal!!! Considering $25,000 is the goal we aren't far away!

It has been a long time since I have posted. The garage sale raised over $800.
I have taken a break from raising money for the scholarship due to having my first child, Cameron. He was born February 17th. This picture is 4 months. He is now 7 months old. He's a busy boy learning to sit up, say mama, and he is working on getting 2 more teeth which makes it 6!
It has been an exciting year but now I am ready to jump back on the horse and start raising money again to reach our goal of $25,000.
My first goal is $1000. If you would like to make a tax deductible donation you can email me at j.layng85@gmail.com and I can send you a donation envelope from Mt Hood Community College. Or you could go to:
https://commerce.cashnet.com/cashnete/selfserve/EditItem.aspx?PC=MHCCFND-SCSH&ItemCount=7 And choose "Kerri Foland Scholarship".
The last option is my gofundme site which isn't tax deductible but you can donate as much or as little as you like.
I thank you so much for your donations. I am working on finding a craft bazaar to attend to sell my cards at to raise money and working on other fundraising ideas. If you have any ideas to share please do!
