16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18

A piece of scripture Kerri chose for her memorial. A wonderful reminder that no matter what trials and tribulations we go through we always have the promise of eternal life in Jesus Christ!  Kerri may have suffered a terrible disease and mourned the fact she was leaving her family and friends, but she also rejoiced in the promise she had. She was going to a far better place with no suffering, no pain, and no tears.  Kerri lives on with the Lord and we will one day meet again!

A BIG thank you to MHCC Foundation for sending out the donation letters to the PT clinics in the Portland Metro area!  It was greatly appreciated!  Now we will wait and see if donations trickle in.

At this time we will not be able to organize a RESCUE concert but I hope in the future we will have the opportunity to do a fundraiser with them.  I will be working on coming up with other ideas to help raise funds.

We will soon find out who the 2nd scholarship recipient will be, school is about to start!

Thank you to all who have supported me in this endeavor!  We will continue to work toward that $25,000 goal!

Well I have gotten much support for the concert/silent auction I am working on planning.  I have gotten donations from Casting Crowns, Amy Grant/Vince Gill, Priscilla Shirer, Robin Jones Gunn, and others for items for the auction.  I still have many donations to ask for, but I have a while.  I am still working connecting with RESCUE, but will soon have a date set!  I know it!

Thanks for all the support!  If anyone has any ideas/connections for donations for a silent auction please let me know!  j.layng85@gmail.com

I just turned in my voting sheet for the 2nd recipient of the PTA scholarship!  How exciting to know all this money raised in Kerri's name is going to help our fellow PTA's!

Congratulations to the class of 2012!  Good luck!!

Well I believe God has put another fundraiser on my heart.  I am on fire and filled with inspiration.

One of Kerri's favorite music groups was RESCUE.  I have just started listening to them and they are amazing!  They are an A Capella group and it is unbelievable what a person can do with their voice.  A true gift from God!!

If it is Gods will he will guide me to put together a benefit concert to help raise money for the scholarship.  Not only would it be a great opportunity to help the scholarship but also spread the word of God and I know Kerri would rejoice!

Please stay tuned for any news and please pray God's will for this scholarship!
